Dr Thomas Monoth

  • Dr Thomas Monoth, Assistant Professor and Head did his MSc and MPhil in Computer Science at Bharathiar University. 
  • Took PhD degree, on a teacher fellowship of UGC, from Kannur University on the topic Analysis and Design of Tamperproof and Contrast-Enhanced Secret Sharing Based on Visual Cryptography Schemes. 
  • Has completed two UGC funded research projects. 
  • Has also participated and presented a research paper in the International Conference on Cyber Worlds (CW 2010), at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore in 2012.  
  • Has two book chapters and three research papers published in international journals to his credit apart from a number of research papers presented in international and national seminars.  
  • Presently he is the Chairman of the UG Board of Studies and a member of PG Board of Studies in Computer Science of Kannur University. 
  • Is also a member of the Board of Studies in Printing and IT of the University of Calicut.
  • His areas of research include information security – cryptography, visual cryptography and secret sharing. He is skilled programmer in C, C++, Java and MATLAB.
